In a nice salty used condition a US WW2 Navy Helmet Liner 'Varney'.
The helmet liner is made by Westinghouse and comes with the original paint on the outside with traces of a blue lining strap from front to back of the helmet.
Mostlikely indicates use by a member of the US Navy that did service on landingcrafts.
The helmet liner is also named to Varney with the rankbar of a sergeant on the front.
On the inside there are still traces of webbing and that is also named to varney.
