US WW2 Airplane Star / Grave Marker

In a very nice condition a US WW2 Airplane Star / Grave Marker.
The star comes in a size of approx 40cm in diameter and was Dug-Up some years ago in the Market Garden Sector.
The marker is made of Aluminum and painted in the dark blue color with over it a white (reflecting?) Star.
In our opinion a star from a small airplane ( like the recon O-57 Grasshopper).
Clearly visible on the reverse side is that the plate was atttached to a cross, in our opinion used as a US gravemarker.
A very nice item for display.
