US WW2 Type A-5 Aerial Delivery Container Normandy
Category:
€ 1.995,00
In a very nice used condition a US WW2 Type A-5 Aerial Delivery Container.
The container was found in Normandy some years ago and comes with both, left and right end covers with very good markings.
The container comes with the extreme rare and hard to find original tarpaulin Rigger made of a large stock of Griswold bags.
Nice to see is that the Griswold backs were all in use and nicely stamped before rigger remake to tarpaulin. All nicely dated 1943.
The tarpaulin comes with traces of (rotten) blood on various spots, mostlikely used as wounded carrying stretcher or cover for KIA men.
Also one of the end covers has a big spot of blood on it. Both have only one closing strap as visual on the pictures.
A very nice historic item for display from the Normandy region.
Because of the weight, shippingcost is on request outside Europe.
