German WH Bayonet Knot
In a very good condition a German Wehrmacht (Heer) K98 Mauser bayonet knot (or "Troddeln")
These knots or portopee were worn by enlisted ranks from Schutzen to Stabsgefreiter, these were attached to the bayonet frog and worn with the Service Dress or "Walking out" uniforms.
These came in several color combination's to designate battalions and companies of enlisted personnel.
A very good original knot from the 8th Company Wehrmacht (Infantry/Pioneer/Kraftfahr/Nachrichten or Nachschubtruppen)
