German Published Cross in Silver (DKiS)

In a very nice used condition a rare and stunning German Cross in Silver (Deutsches Kreuz in Silver)
These silver crosses were awarded for distinguished acts of service in the war effort. Approximately 2500 German Crosses in Silver have been awarded against almost 26000 German Crosses in Gold. So You see they are more rare then the higher gold version.
The German Cross was to be worn on the lower right breast of the service tunic or field blouse.
This is the heavy weight version that comes without maker marking but is clearly producted by the company of 'Deschler & Sohn' in München.

This cross was published in the book 'Deutsche Auszeichnungen Band 2 Deutsches Reich 1871-1945 from Dr. Kurt G. klietmann, 1981, Page 109-111'.

All enamel of the cross is intact and showing only some minimal scratches caused by wear.
The cross is in overall good truly worn condition.
A very stunning and desirable item!!
