US WW2 Burial Flag Paratrooper Pfc Gilbert P. Murray / 82nd AB,507th PIR

In a very good condition a US WW2 Burial Flag on the name of 82nd Airborne Division Paratrooper Gilbert P. Murray.
Gilbert was a member of the 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment that was attached to the 82nd AIrborne Division for the Normandy /D-Day operation and to the 17th Airborne Division during the Battle of the Bulge.
Gilbert died on 22 march 1945 in France and rest on the Lorraine American Cemetery and Memorial in Lorraine France.
This flag was used to cover his covin and was send home to his loved ones.
The 48 star national 'Stars & stripes' flag comes in a size of 5''x8,1/2'' (1,45x2,90mtr) and is complete with the original shipped box.
The box still contains the label from Pfc Murray but has gone loose due to aging.
