SS-Obersturmführer Paul Senghas earned the German Cross in Gold with 1. Kompanie/ SS-Panzer-Regiment 5 “Wiking” and the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross as Commander of the I./ SS-Panzer-Regiment 5 “Wiking” on 11 December 1944.
