Dutch M-1927 Combat Helmet 'VDB Staff 10de Regiment Infantrie Grebbeberg

In a stunning condition and extreme hard to find a helmet from the May 1940 battlefield of the 'Grebbeberg' Holland with booklet.
The helmet is a stunning M-1927 early version helmet in a great condition with almost 98% of it's original paint and comes with the original lining made by lederwarenfabriek 'De volharding' and is nicely CM 1935 stamped on the inside.
The helmet was used by 1st Lieutenant of the VDB Signal Unit (Staf Verbindingsdienst 10 R.I. K99) during the Dutch fight at the Grebbeberg in May 1940 against the German SS Standarte Der Führer and the 207th Infantry Division.
30 members of this VDB signal unit died during the battle.
The lieutenant made just after the capitulation the remembrance book of the VDB signal unit in November 1940 and issued it to members that were still alive.
Total produced books was 120.
Nowadays only two of these books still excist. one in a museum and the other one is for sale at our website.
The helmet is also worn on one of the wartime pictures in the book.
A very stunning grouping that is not easy to find!
