SS-Obersturmführer Willy Hund earned the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross on April 20, 1945 as SS-Obersturmführer und Führer of the 7. Kompanie/ SS-Panzer-Grenadier-Regiment 23 “Norge” of the 11. SS-Freiwilligen-Panzergrenadier-Division “Nordland”.
