US WW2 Fighting Knife 'Ft. Lewis 1943'
In a very good condition a US WW2 handmade fighting knife.
The fighting knife is made from a WW1 Springfield long blade bayonet and comes still with the original wooden grips.
The blade is nicely polished and comes without any markings.
The scabbard is nicely handmade and named 'Fort Lewis, Washington 1943.
Fort Lewis was between 1942 and July 1943 the home of some of the War’s outstanding fighting units, including the 3d, 33d, 40th, 41st, 44th, and 96th Infantry Divisions, plus many brigades and smaller size units.
After July 1943 it became a prisoner of war camp.
