German WH Transmitter '5W.Sender C.' with U5A1 umformer.
In a very stunning condition a German Wehrmacht Transmitter 5Watt Sender C with the U5A1 umformer.
The transmitter was used in divisional and regimental nets of the German army; it may be employed for both vehicular and ground operation. It is used with portable receivers Spez 445 Bs or Torn E.b. It can be operated while on the move.
The 5W.S.c is a 2-tube general purpose, medium frequency, low-power transmitter was contained in a case of light metallic alloy. It is often seen in many period photos, accompanied by a Torn. E.b or a Spez 445 BS receiver. It is one of the most attractively designed pieces of equipment in the use of the German military during WWII. The model displayed here is probably a 1943 manufactured transmitter. The "c" model of this transmitter has a build in dummy antenna for tuning the transmitter.
Working not tested but previous owner says it works ok.
