German WH NCO Infantry Visor Cap I.R.88
In a very stunning condition a German Wehrmacht (Heer) NCO Infantry Visor Cap.
The early pattern cap comes in a mannequin headsize of 54,5 and is underneath the sweatband maker marked by H.W. Bachmanns from Arnstadt.
The visor cap is made in 1937 and is unit marked to the 2.Kompanie/ Infantrie Regiment 88.
The cap comes without moth or other damage and is still in a great shape!
A very good example.
The 88th Infantry Division (German: 88. Infanterie-Division) was a major fighting formation of the German Army (Wehrmacht). It was created in December 1936, and first saw combat in the Battle of France, and was then posted to security duties. From December 1941, the division was shifted to the southern sector of the Eastern Front, where it fought until February 1944 when it was encircled near Cherkassy and virtually destroyed.
