US WW2 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division Large Grouping
In a stunning condition and directly from the family a grouping on the name of Warren A. Halverson, member of Company I, 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division 'Indian Head'.
The grouping was resently bought from the family by us and comes with his complete WW2 estate.
The set contains his Ike service jacket, A-Class tunic, Wool shirt and all with original sewed insignina.
His Garrison caps, embarkation papers and food coupons, Honorable Discharge papers, booklets, combat used patches, greatcoat and his stunning M1 helmet liner.
The liner comes with the original marked WW2 indian head decal on the front and has on the inside the early transitional lining with original leather chinstrap in a good not damaged condition.
The liner is made by Westinghouse and is the best transitional liner with decal ever found by us.

Private Warren A Halverson entered the Army in Septeber 1943 and served as a Machine Gunner in the 38th Infantry Regiment and saw action in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe.
He was awarded the EAME medal with 5 bronze combat stars, Good Conduct Medal and the Distiguished Unit Citation.
