The National Republican Guard - " Guardia Nazionale Repubblicana, or - " GNR " - was a Paramilitary force of the Italian Social Republic - " RSI " - Created, December 8, 1943 replacing the Carabinieri and national Security Volunteer Militia - " MVSN ".
The GNR became a part of the - " Italian Social republic " - RSI - and Carried out security tasks behind the Front Lines during Combat and Provided Aid, Assistance, and Combat Ability to there Allies the German Forces.
In the beginning of 1944, Fascist leader and Commander Benito Mussolini assumed Direct Personal Command of the GNR!
