William Bahr served his country during WWII as a pilot in the Army Air Corp. Assigned to the 456th B-24 Heavy Bomb Group, 744th Bomb Squadron based in Italy, he completed 33 wartime missions. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, 3 Air Medals and Theater Ribbon with 5 Battle Stars.
