Hauptmann Franz Kieslich earned the German Cross in Gold on July 10, 1942 as Oberleutnant und Staffelkapitän of the 7. Staffel/ Sturzkampfgeschwader 77, the Knight's cross of the Iron Cross on January 5, 1943 as Oberleutnant und Staffelkapitän of the 7. Staffel/ Sturzkampfgeschwader 77 and the Oakleaves on October 10, 1944 as Hauptmann und Gruppenkommandeur of the III. Gruppe/ Schlachtgeschwader 77 “Immelmann”.
