Sinnett was a member of the 25th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron (Mechanized).

The 25th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron (Mechanized) was a US Army unit, part of the 4th Armored Division, that operated during World War II, most notably in the Normandy campaign.
